The trafficking of young girls is the second largest criminal enterprise in the world, after drug smuggling. This crime is by far the most horrific. According to some estimates, a child is trafficked every 30 seconds! Eighty percent of the trafficking involves sexual exploitation. The average age of a young girl being trafficked is 12 – 14 years old. The bottom line is that over 1.2 million are brought into the slave trade each year.
