In a previous post I wrote about Hope Now Cambodia’s partnership with a Cambodia medical mission. We go into the villages and jungle with our friend, Dr. Tom Johnson. He is a great friend and brother in the Lord. We bring the good news of the Gospel, and some medical help to the people who are Buddhists. Some have never heard of the cross of Jesus Christ.
With our latest mission winding down, I wanted to share some good news with you. Over eleven people believed in Jesus. We established a little church (with local leaders), and many more people heard the Gospel.
Sadly, in one village where a new little church was started, the wife of the owner of the house where the church met, died suddenly while our team was there. However, the woman who died had believed in Jesus Christ a week before! She is absent from the body, but present with the Lord!
The jungle villages are filled with eternally lost people, yet it holds a beauty of its own, put there by our Creator God six-thousand years ago. Our prayer is that more of our Hope Now Cambodia men will take part in these missions trips. For our Hope Now Cambodia men to get out of the city and see God at work, their faith will be strengthened.
All the men are home safely and now it is back to work in the city, helping deported Cambodian/American men learn to love God and His Word.
Thank you for your support and prayers for our unique and interesting ministry!
Love,
Roger
